Dangers of External References

Recently, while obsessively watch my server logs, I noticed that a particular image from a blog post on conformal geometry was being requested rather often. Curious... why would anybody want a single picture of a grid with an ugly color scheme? Enabling the referrer log, I find that the grid is the background a myspace page.
